Mile 108 Elementary
We believe through our actions, we show that we value and care for every student in our school community. Together, we are on a healing journey that includes learning about Canada’s history, acknowledging the wrongs and trauma that occurred, and opening our hearts and minds to building a better future. On Orange Shirt day students participated in a meaningful activity by creating paper orange shirts with individual commitments to help build a school culture rooted in love, caring, and kindness. These were displayed beside our feather heart, symbolizing unity and compassion within our community. To close our day, we shared a meal together. Older students helped our younger buddies get their lunches and choose a picnic spot; an action to demonstrate care and community.
